X-Ray Star Band

1/25/05 Butler, NJ: X-Ray Star's debut album "Drive" has reached top 100 sales status (coming in at 52) at the online music store CD Baby www.cdbaby.com. As a result of reaching this milestone, a track from the "Drive" CD has been included on the CD-Baby "Best Sellers" compilation disc, given to customers for free whenever they make a purchase at CD-Baby. "We never thought we'd generate enough sales to reach the top 100 on such a popular music sight. There has been minimal radio and tour support for the album, so we're very pleased by the accomplishment! It's motivated us to keep pushing for airplay," commented singer Christine Cole. The band (Christine Cole - vocals, Scott Dreher Guitar, and Glen Pappas Drums) is in the studio working on their follow up album "Love is Vicious" scheduled for release in May 2005. Drummer Glen Pappas- "The second CD is really starting to show what this band can do from a writing stand point, I think the music has definitely taken another step, of course Chris' lyrics were always there, but I think this time around Scott and I, and the various bassists who are pitching in, are really getting it done, adding just enough extra horsepower and funk to keep your senses occupied until you get a chance to digest the lyrics".
