X-Ray Star gears up for release of the their second full length album.

02/12/07 New Jersey - Indie rockers X-Ray Star are chomping at the bit to start promoting their new release "Love Is Vicious", singer Chris Cole - "I think it was Tom Petty who said the waiting is the hardest part (laughs), in this case it's so true". Cole and drummer, Glen Pappas have been getting stock to www.CDbaby.com and discussing promotion with the likes of artist activist Moses Avalon (author of - Million Dollar Mistakes, Confessions of a Record Producer) as they devise a plan to get their sophomore attempt to a larger audience. 'It's going to be a lot of work" said Pappas, "but we believe very strongly in this CD, and we want to make sure people hear it". The lack of a major label budget and promo pipeline are obstacles that all independent artist must clear. Pappas - 'what the majors do better than anyone is promote, probably more important than the money is the experience and the connections to get your music heard, they've done it thousands of times so there's very little that isn't planned for. Although there are more opportunities than ever for an indie artist to be distributed you still have to find a way to let people know your CD's out there, that's our job".

X-Ray Star's first CD "Drive" was a fall 2004 best seller on cdbaby.com They are based out of Northern NJ.
